Horse Dayz runs Monday thru Friday, from 9 AM - 4:30 PM
Early drop off and late pick up options available for an additional fee.
A $5 fee will be charged for every 10 minutes past 4:30 PM without prior arrangements.
Our goal is to teach kids about the care and responsibility of riding horses. This includes safe handling, grooming, feeding, stall and pasture maintenance. We have visits from the vet, farrier, and horse dentist which allow awesome learning opportunities.
Each week/day will have different themes; show prep, injury care, feeding, conditioning, ect.
Each day will start with morning horse chores. Next the kids will get to have their morning riding time of about 45 minutes.
The lesson will work on the theme of the week. After we care for the horses, we have lunch.
The afternoon activities will vary depending on weather and what the kids want to do. On hot days we set up sprinklers and water games. Afternoon riding options are bareback, games, vaulting, trail rides, ect. Rainy days will have indoor activities. ( Covid rules for rain days. Depending on the severity of the weather. If it is predicted to rain all day camp will be cancelled as we do not have enough safe indoor space.) Each week will also have an art related horse activity. This will range from painting horse brushes, making horseshoe picture frames, tie-dying, ect.
We have added new horses to the program this year and are very excited to share them with everyone.
Beginner weeks are slower paced and geared towards younger kids. Camp is for kids aged 6-13
Beginners are welcome and encouraged every week.
We have scholarship opportunities for those in need.
